As part of the long-term marketing strategy to promote and sell the many beautiful wedding venues owned by the San Diego County Parks and Recreation Department (DPR), social media needed to have a large presence to further drive revenue for the department.

Pinterest is the #1 resource for brides to find inspiration when planning a wedding of their dreams, and DPR needed to be a part of that creative conversation.

From staging entire weddings to capture rich photography that would effectively sell the parks, to collaborating with outside photographers to purchase royalty free imagery to show the potential of each facility, to key word search optimization, and meta-tagging, Pinterest proved to be one of the more successful, low-cost avenues for effective promotion in the wedding market segment.
